whatever this is

If you’re reading this, you might be wondering: how did I end up writing a blog?

The reason is thora complicated. I was about to go to sleep in my dorm the other day when I realized my roommate hadn’t been around for a few days. A year ago, sleeping alone in the room used to completely freak me out. But this time, I went to bed alone (even right now as I write this) and didn’t get scared at all. It made me think about how our mental capacity changes over time. Or, to put it simply: we adapt.

That realization made me want to document the situation and share it. Then it occurred to me—I kinda do web dev (nuh uh), so why not just document my thoughts on my own site? I was heavily inspired when I first saw Kailash Nadh’s blog. It was clean, fast, and minimalist, which pleased my frontend persona. But my limbic persona was like, why not make something similar someday? Obviously, DUHH, I am nowhere near his level of competence or popularity, but maybe having a blog will increase my productivity? I know, it sounds a bit delusional—like that “I will get into IIT” confidence we all had preparing for JEE in 11th, type shi.

Whether this fizzles out like always or I actually stick to documenting, only time will tell. The thought of having a blog has always been kinda intimidating to me. I don’t know why, but it always looked like something only “smart” people do. But given that I’m doing it now… well, let’s not go there.

Anyway, this was just the first post. I hope to keep it going. Let’s see what the next one will be about. Till then, bye.
